My father, someone who hasn’t brushed his teeth all his life, just had to get surgery to get all his teeth removed. The infection in his gums had reached his brain and heart, causing him to die in the next couple months if he didn’t get the surgery. What’s surprising to me, is that the woman didn’t have infections or anything. Brushing your teeth in a condition like that is full on dangerous. With the rotting teeth, the bristles of the toothbrush could enter the gums and cause intense bleeding. I’m happy she has surgery, but that healing process takes forever.

Edit- He's okay now, just has dentures. (and cancer)
