I mean you think about it as a whole it makes sense. The Jeremy Banks things could've played a role in it but learning and knowing other teams signals where South Carolina played flawless against Tennessee defense is very well possible and makes sense. And both the Jeremy Banks little scuffle and the signal stealing could've happened at the same time for the result to happen at South Carolina.

Ugh, that's actually not a crazy theory. And I was hoping to just have that SC game in the past and let it die there. But Dave, the excuse that it was because of a scuffle between Jeremy Banks and Hendon Hooker sounds like a cop-out excuse because you don't want to delve any deeper than that. That was a thorough beating we took from SC; offense, defense, special teams, everything. It made no sense to anyone at the time. I mean, we were completely thrashed. But, if the other teams knows your plays, whether from some MI fan or just someone doing their homework and figuring them out on their own, that does make a lot more sense. And if Heupel didn't realize it or think that was the case he wouldn't have thought to change up the signs. Interesting thought thought, Caleb.

That's interesting. i had a conversation with my son a while back about the South Carolina game. I wondered if somehow it was possible South Carolina intercepted the signal from Tennesee's headsets because I found it difficult to believe the success they had on our defense with an offense that had been inept up to that point. Your theory is plausible because Michigan had teh means and motive for doing it.

I'm not buying this conspiracy theory. I attended the South Carolina game last year, as a Vol fan, and it was evident how lethargic and heavy legged the Vols compared to USCjr. We were just not ready. The night game atmosphere was crazy!
