Eb imo depending on your settings it can be hard hitting like srv or warm and creamy

“Drop” tuning refers to the fact that the E will be dropped to match the D string. These are alternative tunings.

D standard and drop c are the best tunings for 6 strings change my mind

Those weren't really drop tunings but d#/eb always sounds nice

Really love your tone, what's your setup?

I'm pretty sure drop tuning is different than tuning down. Drop tuning means you drop the 6 ( low E) string a whole step to match the 4th (D) string.

Strats actually take downturning really well. Something about playing single coils strung way low is so much fun. I uses to play one in drop a/b standard.

I’m stuck rn thinking more of what you are playing than the actual tuning 😅

If you put it in B standard, you can get some extremely beautiful deep tones and stuff

It’s one of the greatest mysteries in guitar. Why do strats just sound better in Eb

Will always believe that fender product reacts best to Eb...

I’d like to hear a comparison that you’re playing the same notes. Always hear these comparisons but each one is a half step off so it’s more about the key than the tuning.
