Install Nextcloud through Docker and Ubuntu

I'm making a point about Docker + Ubuntu though Docker can be installed on almost any OS. Ubuntu works very well with docker-compose which is what is covered in this video. I also tried Alpine, Linux Mint, and had issues. I did finally get podman-compose working on Fedora Silverblue once I remember SELinux was running and needed the :z flag on the volumes.

Bottom line: Ubuntu server + Docker + docker-compose is the easiest in my testing for quickly running the modified docker-compose file and getting started with NextCloud quickly.

How do you setup the browsers so they don't automatically try to redirect http to https? I can't get these to work because it keeps changing from 80 to 443. It's not happening at dns because it even does this on internal IPs, it has to be in the browser

Well I thought it worked, set admin and pass, it installed and I get back to the login but now the admin and password don't work.

Thanks for this video but my unifi controller does not have all the options necessary to create a hotspot, what is lacking please?
I am using a TP Link router without any ubiquiti device, could that be the problem ?

Sorry, is it step-by-step manual for installing docker and Nextcloud on it? I don't understand from what I have to start? Where should I get docker-compose.yml? What is data and datadb folders? You don't show it...

Even if the above two nodes are bundled in swarm mode, do I have to run it with Docker-Compose?

Or do I have to do it with docker stack deploy?

Restart always in docker means if it is MANUALLY stopped, then it only restarts after the docker daemon restarts.

It is not quite what the presenter said. He doesn't understand the subtlety of the option in comparison to unless-stopped.

A command restart always would not be very useful if it worked as the presenter believes it works. Maybe he's learned the difference since having made the video 2 years ago.
