Iphone 15 brings USB-C with much improved data transfer speeds and camera zoom capabilities. Now we just need under the display touch ID as an addition to face ID, and we got the perfect phone.
Nothing you meantioned about the features possibly coming with the iphone 16, is worth waiting for and you know it, but you are probably framing the video this way, in order to get clicks.

I view the 15 as the cosumer beta test for the 16. We have sen in recent years that some big bugs and issues have not shown up until the phones got distributed to the mass market. So on that basis I wait for the following model year when key new features are released so that they have a year of broad testing and acceptance by general consumer market. I also get to see if Apple improves those features in the follow up year.. As long as I stay in my carriers upgrade window I am safe. But carriers have been extending that window since people (Out of economic necessity) are holding their phones for longer periods. So the 16 Pro whatever they call it will be my next phone.

It all depends on what phone you're coming from if you have an iPhone X well of course it's worth the upgrade now. If you have an iPhone pro max 12-14 it does not make huge sense to buy it now as it's nearly the same phone with minor upgrades but iPhone likes to make them seem "Revolutionary"

As long I'm not able to see the display in sunlight in summertime, when it's hot, I'm not buying a new iPhone. The processor of my iPhone 11Pro is good enough for all task I want from it. The cameras are OK. The battery could work longer, but the rest is good enough.

Money is irrelevant since I get school discounts and basically get my devices for free as long as I’m sticking with my current carrier. If the iphone 16 pro models don’t have the hole punch design or quad lenses, I’m hoping the the Ultra at least has it
