The question of "Can The Hulk Survive Without Food?" has been explained in many different ways. In the "Hulk: The End" comic run, we see him survive as the last being on earth due to nuclear warfare. He never eats in this comic, and he has no need to as his body can sustain itself. However we see him eat in the MCU, but its safe to assume that some fruits and tacos aren't enough to sustain his body. Still in some comics that I haven't seen, it may be explained that he needs food to fuel his body. Therefore it's really up to the writer's and filmmakers to explain that part of his character.

Everyone I get that you're some type of scientist by heart suddenly with your phones, but in comic book scenario this is how they made it, so deal with it okay. Yes he needs food and water not just for stamina just for survival at its finest at core the hulk is still human so he needs his food to keep his brain and other organs alive and without water he would simply just die after a few days.

From what i always understood:
Hulks body is a selfs sustainable gamma reactor that can fuel him almost indefinitely. However this couses his body to feel an extreme hunger as it is in a way eating itself from within and simultaneously regenerating. This is why even tho Hulk doesn't have to eat, he still does it to fuel his body so that it does have to eat itself.
