It's crazy how Tengen was first presented as an incredibly cocky and arrogant individual, but in the end turned out to be a humble, modest dude that simply loved his wives and was trying his best.

He says Kyojiro because Rengoku did not have a single causality the night he died. He had a track record and minimal casualties throughout his career. He was viewed as the ideal demon slayer

He’s not one of the weakest, he’s just underdeveloped. He relied on brute force most of the time and barely used breathing techniques. Imagine if he mastered his breathing techniques. I’m most impressed on that insane grip strength of holding the blade using his 2 fingers and slashing the demon. Plus he fought all throughout the pain poisoned. Fought head on using only one arm. Yeah rengoku is still on a class of his own but tengen is a complete badass. I’m just happy that he was able to live because rengoku was a total shock to me considering he’s one of the top hashiras.

Tengen won our hearts as one of the coolest Hashiras ever. He showed true growth and properly acknowledged his flaws compared to his actual skill, and as such become a unique Hashira.

Tengen isn't gifted with talents, but through hard work, he's landed himself a hashira rank and 3 wives. This is why he is one of the strongest characters in DS.

always thought Tengen was like the Batman of the Hashira. he's strong as shit, but only situationally, like when he has opportunities to use the Score of his Sound Breathing. The problem is he needs to both stay alive and draw the battle out long enough to use it. Being a shinobi with a bunch of tools, having a support harem, and also having the second strongest physical strength and fastest running speed among Hashira certainly helps. To be fair, he's also not doing a fair comparison--Gyomei and Muichiro are fucking monsters, and Rengoku could fight toe-to-toe with Akaza without a fucking mark.

lol, Tengen really is a badass, he may be one of the but considering that he is a shinobi and that it was displayed, I'd say he is really strong. To me, he's the second strongest in physical strength. also, I think that in this fight with Gyutaro he probably relied more on his physical abilities, his breathing technique is just a plus, I think he'll be one of the top hashiras if he has a better breathing technique, combine it with his shinobi physical strength. but u know, I like that his sound breathing, it balances things and does not make him op.

Some people say Tengen is weak because he struggled against UM6. This is a horrible take. Gyutaro was only UM6 because of his sister. Muzan said he would’ve been higher rank if not for her. None of the hashiras are weak! They each excel in something the other doesn’t. Tengen’s poison resistance, adaptability, and speed… I just don’t understand the slander.
