I no longer feel alone in the OCD support group. You've added some steps to this with heat shrink that I am definitely going to adopt. Thanks Ape for sharing best practice.

Your video showed and described a couple of details that I needed to understand exactly how the terminal goes into the tool and how the terminal goes into the plastic part of the connector. Some videos don't explain that as well as you did, but for a first timer on these we need those exact details.

The heat shrink trick for flimsy wire is a great hack. This alone makes it easy to insert tiny wire into the Powerpole housing. My cursing was replaced with words of thanks for TheSmokin Ape's helpful tip.

Wow...that was some serious precautions on heat shrink, sleeves, etc. Awesome heavy duty and reliable job. I like it 👍

Outstanding video!! The wire strippers I use are the Katapult by Klein Tools. I got them at Home Depot.

Gearing up and planning for some future purchases and hitting up your vids to help. Also looking at changing some existing wiring. Lots to learn and learning a lot. Hope you're well brother.

Okay. I finally got my S#!+ together, and started working with my power pole connectors and my Iwiss (Amazon) crimpers. The crimpers worked magnificently! But there is a little bit of a learning curve, for getting these little connectors level with each other, and in the Correct direction to the plastic housings! Well, it took me a bit, but I got it! Its okay.... Its ALL Okay! 🤔😉😃😫
And FYI: I reviewed your video, many times, to make sure I was doing it right. Thanks for the help x10!

I like how you provide extra support and strength to the connection.
Now I need power poles and a heat gun.👍

I like the way you added the heat shrink to keep the wires together and make them more rigid. Looks good too.

You never used the first red piece of heat shrink that you put on ahead of the rubber boot. What was it for?

Thanks for making so many great videos nailing the subjects I need.

Love this. With the layers of heat shrink, it is so well protected and looks so clean. Excellent. (Way over the top. Just the way I like it.)

That heat gun from Harbor Freight now sells for $17.00
Excellent, tutorial.

Was that the 15 amp crimp slot, or the 30 amp slot? Maybe my crimpers are different. Mine have 15 amp at the tip end, 30 amp in the middle, and 45 amp on the inside. I love power poles. I use the same setup with heat shrink tubing and rubber boot.

Can you plug-in a 45A powerpole into a 30A powerpole? In otherwords, can you mix sizes? Im not sure what size is most commonly used, but my power supply is a 35A, so I was going to use the 45A powerpole instead of the 30A, but not sure what other people have standardized on...

Try heating the rubber boot up a bit. It makes it more pliable and should slide into place easier.
Very nice, clean work. Thanks much
