Saber Interactive have done a fantastic job with 1-3, and can't wait and excited to play 4-6 Remaster. Hope it goes well especially with Angel of Darkness.

I've played Tomb Raider Remastered (the first game for the first time, and the second game for the first time in years) - Tomb Raider II was the first Lara Croft game I ever played. I never finished the third game. They were good though. Clearly, they were too good for Crystal Dynamics...
I'll admit, I did like Tomb Raider 2013 and Rise of the Tomb Raider - Shadow of the Tomb Raider, not so much. Lara looked quite attractive to me in Rise, but Shadow seemed to dial back on her charm and ended up too much of a bloated mess for me to stay invested... it became a real slog to find all the collectibles and 100% the game.
In the end, for me, Lara was always at her best in the classics and in the Legend trilogy with Keeley Hawes. The Survivor Reboot Lara ended up relying too much on gritty realism and emotions... it wasn't even fun to take comical suicide-dives off things any more, like in her previous iterations!

Crystal Dynamics didn't deceive us about these remakes. On the contrary : they're masterpieces like originals games.

Saber are doing the Soul Reaver remasters so those should be good. For me, Toby Gard's Lara s the ONLY one I need. The first 6 are the best. Even Chronicles which is contractual dross and Angel of Darkness even though it was a buggy jank of a mess with a ton of missing stuff. Even so seeing them redone will be great. Hopefully they can fix Angel and put in all the stuff that was cut. Us fans know it's Saber who deserves credit and not Crystal. They hate classic Lara yet have no problem profiting off it with their name on the box.

I enjoyed the trilogy of games (tr, rise, shadow) but I never played the originals

I wasnt interested in gaming until gears of war

I had played 2/3 games on the original Xbox Buffy, chaos bleeds and underground 2

I was busy with something involving real women, I was a typical Brit of that age, pubs clubs and women, something none of these modern kids will ever know about

I knew they weren't Lara (I was hopeful she'd become Lara of the past but this was around the change) but like re6 I chose to look at them as not part of their namesake

They also censored Pierre's jacket by having the woman in a bikini top and to this day it's still censored. Might only be a small thing but that doesn't change the fact that it's still censorship. Also CD changed Lara's backstory to where her mother died in a plane crash leaving Lara stranded in Nepal, and her father being killed by Jaqueline Natla. In the OG Lara got disowned by her parents because she wanted to get out of the suffocating atmosphere of the upper class and go tomb raiding.
