You can tell how much he liked his job in the Navy with how excited he gets when starting to talk about the Virginia

I was a Reactor Operator on a Virginia Class before I got out, and I can confirm it is a beautiful engine room and boy is it quiet!

This was a hilarious video. It's like "This submarine can go screaming fast. It's like underwater lighting. We can leave everything in the dust. The top speed is.... "Faster than 25 knots because that's what Wikipedia says and I can't say more.""

As a retired engineer from the aerospace and defense industry, I appreciate your channel.

The best part of this presentation is how excited Aaron gets about a killer torpedo. 😂

Aaron, I've been watching Sub Brief for a hot minute and I've never seen you get as excited about ANYTHING like you were when talking about the Virginias. Like a little school boy. LOL.

I was also on a 688 class submarine as the reactor operator. My son is currently a JO on a submarine. The LA Class was very quiet, especially with some additions in the early 1980s. All I would say is that we should increase the production to three per year for the next ten years… Just as a note, while we have ordered 35+ VA Class, we only have a little over 20 active.

Loved your commentary. This is the most animated I have seen you in a long time. I could sense there is a lot more to our sub than you can say, which gives me some comfort when I see what Korea, China and Russia are doing lately. Give us more of these, great stuff.

Aaron: The engine room is a world wonder!
Me: Warp Core confirmed.

One thing I noticed on the Chinese boats is that their bow section is being shared by both the torpedo tubes and the sonar dome. Doesn't this make their sonar capability less than the American boats where their torpedo tubes are set a bit further back so the entire bow is saved for the sonar?

I think you love Submarines as much as I love electronics/It. I bet you one heck of a sonar chief. Love your enthusiasm and ability to inform us of these great weapons and other aspects of the naval news. Thanks

Another fantastic video Aaron! I always get exciting when you bring out the submarine vids! Been a fan since I wore out the Hunt for Red October video tape when I was younger 😁🇺🇸
