China aims to be global leader in artificial intelligence (AI) and renewable energy. It has doubled down on investments and infrastructure support for these sectors - to rival the US.

But China’s growing dominance has also got some countries worried. The US-China trade war intensified last August, when President Joe Biden banned the export of advanced chips to China. The EU also has plans to ban Chinese solar panels.

China also faces barriers in AI advancement. From data security concerns to the US’ export controls on semiconductor technologies - can China emerge as the new global superpower?

US sees a race, China just sees a path for all countries to develop.

Many people fail to see that US and China AI are going two different paths. China AI is more in automation and industrial work and US own in mostly generative AI like Sora and GPT

1-3-2024 World Bank research shows that for every 1% point decline in China's gross domestic product (GDP), Singapore's GDP will fall by 1.3%, Malaysia's GDP will fall by 0.7%, and Indonesia's GDP will fall by 0.6%.
China is an important locomotive and development partner in the region, so changes in global geopolitics have triggered regional shocks.

If 3 homeless stand on the way of an autonomous vehicle. How will the vehicle respond, will the vehicle recognize if these 3 homeless are thugs and force its way or will it stop one meter close to these thugs and the passengers get beaten and stolen.
China for sure won't have this problem but for Amurica it's a big issue.

3:21 What prevents Chinese companies from training their AI models with both Chinese and English?

Even if US and European companies refuse to turn their user data over to China, the rest of the world may. The global majority (over 80% of the world's population and 80% of the world's nations) can provide a great deal of data.

When did america enter the green industry? Having a tesla doesn't mean 'green'. Because tesla itself has never been involved in reforestation, and space x itself is one of the air polluters. 😂

It’s about all countries continuing green spaces, improving infrastructure, and technologies to improve the quality of the environment. Countries that advance in those areas should receive global awards each year for Earth sustainability. People learn from each other in helping Earth flourish .

With their current mindset and practices, the US is also set to lose in the AI development, it's only a matter of time.

The reason CNA is asking is the answer la. China has overtaken the US GDP in 2014 in terms of PPP...and the U$ desperateness in trying to break the competitor' s leg in the name of competition is so ludicrous if it aint so shameful for a so called once great nation - never mind how it was conceived.

Imagine how much better the world would be if nobody subscribed to primitive ideas like patriotism and we all cooperated for the benefit of the human race?

Considering China has a population of 4+ times that of the US, surpassing the US by twice actually means they are half that of the US.

The power and usages of ChatGPT, DALL-E and other OpenAI products are overrated and is more a hype.
3:08 "Most of the global websites are written in English", so what? I believe an AI would be able to translate any language.
