I have a chopstick collection. About 500 pairs.
I didn't set out to collect, but encountering some nice items when eating or shopping, I found I had quite a few.
Family and friends clearly noticed because - suddenly - people returning from travelling started bringing them as gifts. "I noticed you have a collection, so when I saw these, I just knew you'd love them!" And of course, I always did. They're beautiful.

And when I saw an antique silver-trimmed Chinese set with knife and toothpicks at an antiques fair, I couldn't account for why I felt a need to part with an indecent amount of money, after an appropriate haggle.

Now people look at my displayed collection and ask, "Do you collect chopsticks?"
I can only give one answer. "Er... apparently!"

Ive got nerve damage in my arms and hands that when it flares up its hard to hold spoons forks etc... but not chopsticks. So I have several sets and a lovely Korean neighbor gifted me stainless steel ones when I was sick as she said they can be sterlized(im cancer free 4 years now but it still sucks lol immune issues).
But the chopsticks are easier to hold without hand issues.
