Two things about this glitch in case anyone is struggling with it:
1. You need to travel while the shield part is still up (the glowy blue stuff on your screen when you slide), you can't just slide and then wait to travel for a while like running errands on Sanctuary. Do it the moment before you queue up a travel (if doing co-op, doing it during the countdown works great).
2. You can also activate this through getting downed into Fight For Your Life, though obviously this is a bit riskier. Getting downed somehow also treats it similar to a travel situation I guess, kind of like Moze hopping into Bear. Basically if you know you're about to get downed and there are some easy trash mobs in the area, just slide like mad and don't shoot. Once you're downed you should have it in FFYL. This can be helpful in maps like the one with Hemovorous or Takedown at the Guardian Breach where there are forced slides that can take this from you.

This makes the Redistributor chain shots like crazy.

Also, if you already cleared Joey Ultraviolet and are ready to do it again while using this, don't go through Maurice's portal. Fast travel to Joey's Planet to spawn right in front of the gate, skipping the hill slide.

Since Joey's boss fight has another slide, you'll either need to be Moze, have a Plan B for Joey himself with another toon, or you can just farm the mansion grounds for lieutenant loot.

I love the little tricks like this available in the Borderlands games. Nothing that breaks the game unless the player wants it to.

Arms race is actually fun though... Just do the revolter glitch and have the bonus shock damage in arms race. Makes it much faster.

You can also trigger it by going down mid slide or shortly after the slide. As long as you don't shoot before going down.

Plus if you use the Infernal wish you get the amp shot plus the added projectile almost times your damage by 4 on guns with a single projectile.

This is a more consistent version of the Gaige shield regen glitch. I think you can technically swap to a different shield if you wanted to after applying the glitch? It's been a while since I played around with it

I trigger it by sliding into a barrel and dying, but sliding and activating Iron Cub seems much more classy :D

Dying while sliding also activates it. I have done it many times by accident because i like using toboggan on my moze since i got a good roll.
