In my opinion, Jim's Steaks is the best hands down but the best cheesesteak in south Philly has to go to homegrown coffee and creations on 1515 West Porter street in the heart of south Philly. Their cheesesteak is on an everything roll which is a game changer. You guys have to check them out the next time your in the city. Great review

Cheesesteaks in Philly isn’t a must have anymore. It’s more like a myth. I would’ve thought that this word would have spread through the food vloggers community.
Anyway, John’s would have been one of the best cheesesteak experiences as well as Max’s, while Geno’s and Pat’s is throwing away good money.
Nick’s Roast Beef at 20th & Jackson is an enjoyable meal and experience. I’d even suggest Rocco’s Italian Sausage in front of Home Depot on Delaware Ave…. The must have in the city is the roast pork sandwich at John’s or DiNic’s
