Professor Leonard, this lecture is a solid application of the classic Quadratic Formula. All the problems show the solid usage of the Quadratic Formula and the overall solutions that are produced. Students can always use the Quadratic formula to solve Quadratic equations.

Hi! i love your channel!! i am currently enrolled in calc 2 this semester and i really don't get anything out of my professor's lecture's :( he moves very fast and i have really gotten a lot more out your teaching style.


i'm wondering, do you know how the book your teaching out of compares to James Stewart's Early Transcendental? i would really prefer to exclusively watch your videos rather than attend the lecture but i don't want to miss any material that you potentially don't cover.

I was taught that the quadratic formula can be written as -b over 2a +/- sqrt of -bsqrd-4(a)(c) over 2a. Which changed my answer to -1 +/-2 sqrt of 3 0ver 3.. explain please? 19:06

In ex 2, can you simplify the - 3/3 to - 1 at the end? The result would be: - 1 +/- 2sqrt(3)/3
