Well hello there, my lovely viewers! It's your favorite YouTube influencer, Phil Beckwith - The Professional Painter & Decorator, back at it again with another exciting video!

Now, I know you've all been keeping up with my flat renovation journey and have probably been binge-watching my playlist. And let me tell you, it's been a wild ride. I've had to deal with no bathroom or kitchen, wonky plastered walls, and let's not even get started on the smells from that open toilet pipe!

But fear not, my friends, because today we're trying out a new paint brand that's making waves across the pond. Yes, you heard it right - Benjamin Moore BEN interior paint! And let me tell you, I'm feeling pretty fancy using an American brand that most UK painters haven't even heard of.

Now, I know what you're thinking - Phil, why are you using a new paint brand for the first time on your flat renovation? Well, my dear viewers, that's because I like to live life on the edge. Plus, I've heard great things about Benjamin Moore BEN, and I wanted to see if it cuts the mustard when it comes to wall emulsion paint.

So, let's get to it and see if Benjamin Moore BEN lives up to the hype. Will it be the next big thing in the UK paint market? Or will it be a total flop? You'll just have to stick around and find out!

Until next time, keep painting and stay classy!

You should try Benjamin Moore Regal or Aura. I mostly used these two in canada when I lived there. One of the best paint company out there. And the 3.7L should be enough for two coats per bedroom. At least in canada it did. But there you apply it on top of drywall, not plastered walls. The nice thing about canadian paint that they don't use separate paint for walls and woodwork. You can use a Regal matt or Aura matt on walls or woodwork too. The only thing the woodwork has to be primed before you apply the colour. People here in UK they buy ScuffX for woodwork, they have no clue that you do not need to buy Scuffx for woodwork you can use pretty much any Benjamin Moore paint xD Nice and easy.

Farrow and Ball Modern Emulsion is lovely to apply. Estate emulsion nice on first coat.

Had a look at their website and they have a whole bunch of paints, so which one is the go to for white emulsion and for white woodwork?

I'm a novice but I used Ben and regal select and I don't feel like Regal select isn't worth the 25, 30 dollars more per gallon. Behr Marquee was a thick paint but did just as well as Regal select as far as coverage but The Marquee paint smelt for weeks as it was curing. The Valspar paint I used I think it was was called reserve, it was okay felt like it looked dull after awhile. all and all Regal select is 5 to 10 percent better than Ben but isn't worth the 33 percent more in the price and those are my subjective thoughts.

Isomat professional and tikk vinyl matt are identical to this. I think this seems to be the way with "vinyl matts" now. They're completely different to the traditional ones I've used for 25+ years.

No, Ben is NOT scrubbable. You need the ScuffX or Regal for that.
