Omg... they put a Toph Beifong headpiece on the scorpion... to depict the seismic/vibrational hearing through the ground... I freaking love this reference, and this channel. Flamio Hotmen, Crash Course.

11:16 Ya have to cut the cicada a break. If we lived 17 years underground and then only had a week or two to mate we'd be screaming too

even weirder, some cartilaginous fish have simple external ears! they're not very noticeable, but they're usually just behind the spiracle, and contain two fused, unspecialised elements that may be homologous with the three bones of the tetrapod inner ear!

That scorpion looks really Toph. A total badass. I mean, he listens to the vibrations of the earth! That's pretty dope.

I think animals and insect should have mutch more respect from us humans, they are capable of seeing, hearing, thinking, act out of love and much more and live just like us humans. We have a duty to take care of all of them :)

Bend with me, sway with ease.
When we dance you have a way with me
Stay with me, sway with me.

What about Graboids?
It is said they cannot really "hear" but sense vibrations through the ground...
