As a spider scientist (and the science consultant for CCZoo), I love these wonderful animals, but I realize that being startled by a spider can be scary (even if you like them!). An important part of overcoming arachnophobia is building positive interactions with arachnids on /your/ terms, so hopefully this helps some of y'all do so and enjoy the videos.

Question: How is a colonial organism different from an organism that has various organs? Like in humans liver cells and brain cells are fundamentally different, even though they share the same DNA, however, they are not considered a colonial organism, unless I got that wrong.

This was great! I’m surprised you didn’t mention naked mole rats though. They buck the idea that only small or “simple” organisms can be eusocial.

I thought that the video would go in on non relative animals working together. like birds that ride on top of elephants.

Do the vampire bats only feed relatives? Genuine question, cause I thought it wasn’t based off of genetic relationships, but I might be 100% wrong here
