Fun fact: the Brazen Bull was never used on anyone, except the creator of the said torture device. His colleagues thought he's crazy so they put him in the bull to burn. He survived.

Also the rat torture was done by pressing a box of rats against someone's stomach. Torturers would heat the box, forcing the rats to make their exit by eating the guts and flesh off the victim. Horrifyingly painful if you ask me.
