Humanity has been actively developing for a few millennia. Yet, alongside science and technology, it keeps refining torture methods as well. If we place all of them on the pain scale, the least horrific one will reach a few dozen points, and the worst torture device in all of history will sit at one hundred forty!

The bronze bull story is believed to be 100% true, but after the emperor saw the result after burning a slave up inside he was so disgusted by the whole thing that he ordered the inventor to be placed inside and burned too. After the inventor was cooked alive inside the bull, just before he died he was pulled out and thrown down a hillside to die in agony. The bull was afterwards destroyed so it could never be used again.

The bull had several tubes and horns so the screams of its victim inside would sound like the roar of wild animals - just truly awful.
