In India seating on the permanent job just like Prof Ruchi Anand is ...it is very difficult...you know all IITs in India asking PhD + Foregin PDF. If you are very talented In your field even you have good publications in your field but you didn't go abroad for your Post Doc after PhD then you cannnot get jobs in IITs, NITs and IISER. Indian Post doc doesn't have any importance in India even for their own Institutes. Second option is getting jobs in any govt or non govt Colleges then you need about 50 lakh ($60, 000) amount as a bribe to these colleges. Without this donation or bribe you cannot get any permanent post of Asst Prof. in any Indian colleges. There are many my colleauges who cannot even speak a single line of English but they had money now they are seating on permanent post of Asst Prof. and those don't have money but have knowlege of their field they either doing temporary job or open their own tuition classes....Prof Ruchi Anand is very lucky woman who got permanent job in IIT-B..
