gurl, they need to listen to ur video and fix thoes things asap we need the update to fix these issues. Cause the ipad has the hardware for all the things it need to do the jobb well most likely a software issue so hopefully a new update will fix these issues!

Every device does heat or overheat sometimes. I don’t know if yours does that every time, but it will because you use many apps at the same time or it has been open for a long time such as when doing homework or studying for exams. But if battery is very bad then have it checked out. You don’t want to return it and then the next one heats as well. Because it will, even if it is not burning hot. My iPhone 15 pro max sometimes is burning hot even when I have the ac on, and I use my phone a lot. But any update now ? This video is a month old.

Mine does heat up, but when I do everyday activities such as doing long hours of studying or simply using big apps such as my lab plus assignments

Idk if you’ve tried this but if u want like a darker screen go to settings Access then “Display and text size” scroll down to the end then turn on “reduce white point” and make sure that u don’t have like a lot of tabs open that’s all I can recommend if not then ask Apple or I think they’ll give u sm for it

Apple products are know to over heat with TPU cases. You might want to change your case to something that does not have TPU/plastic material on the back and don't put IPad under your pillows or on top of bedding/blankets specially during the summer time.

But it looks like your case is that it does heat up even on home screen! But make sure you follow apple's temperature guidelines

Maybe there's a update to fix the over heating. Its not normal for a I pad or I pad air to get super hot. My ipad pro 10.5 never got that hot. I was looking to upgrade to the 13 inch air but your right on one thing, I don't like the touch id. My mom last gen air, the the touch id never works

I saw one person on Reddit saying that his ipad air 6 m2 already lags. I think it's because of the 60hz refresh rate. It's 2024! It's time for some changes. Apple please change, the ipad airs and the ipad mini to promotion 120hz. I understand that if the air won't have 120hz, it will be to similar to the ipad pro. But at least 90 hz is a start. I want an ipad mini pro Oled display with 120hz and 512gb of storage.

Have u talk to apple with ur heating and charging issue i think it might be a problem with ur ipad and a malfunction piece thats not normal specially if the battery doesnt last when its new you should send it back and exchange it with a new one you still have a year warranty for it that cover all that

idk if u knew but u can get a student discount plus rn till the 21th of october they give a free apple pencil for the ipad air and pro and airpods for the macbook also u have like 10% off on the ipad as well but the free pencil doesnt work on the regular ipad tho :/ Also ur video was right on time cause i also need a new one mine got outdated with the new ios update and is dying 🥲
Also which ipad u had before ? if its the 6th gen of the regular do u think the case would fit on the 11' air ? size are like the same but more about the bouton and cam

Yeah, something is wrong. Return it. It's a broken device. It should be a warranty. Probably 1 year. Heat and battery drain while sleeping are wrong. Also cellular tends to make battery drain worse.

maybe this is a factory issue, and this one is the only one who has this problem.

How can it be out of warranty when it's still 2024? Apple will replace it because it's unacceptable not to. Even very cheap Chinese brands would happily quickly replace that after all the horrible big issues you are having every single day with heat and battery power. I can only imagine the frustration you must be going through after spending so much on the Air model. I can't afford the reduced priced iPad at the moment but am glad I can't after watching this. My Macbook Air works and I don't have to worry about propping it up all the time and it has all the functionality I need.

Your iPad is not functioning as it should be, Apple will exchange it under warranty because it sounds like your unit is faulty.
