So now we have 4 different pencils and 3 different keyboard cases that are almost the same size but don't work with the entire iPad lineup. Very good for the environment if you have to buy all new accessories, even if the old ones still work perfectly once you consider upgrading (even from Pro 2022 to Pro 2024). What's particularly annoying is that it's often not a hardware issue, just a software limitation to boost sales.

Honestly still feel like most people could live with the base iPad. Would love 13 inch air but honestly $900 to watch YouTube and shop on amazon just seems like overkill.

I was set on getting a 13-inch iPad Pro but since it’s $1300 now, the 13-inch iPad Air with the new pencil might be the way to go for school work and editing photos

I have 2nd generation Ipad pro with a12z chip. I think Ipad Air is perfect upgrade for me. I only might miss 120hz but I in the other hand I will get fingerprint sensor, more powerful chip, and new screen size.
I really dont need that M4 power, I only use Ipad for browsing, watching content, and gaming.

My current iPad Air that I bought refurbished was listed at $519.00 and my refurbished 2nd Gen Apple Pencil was $89.99.

Trading in my current iPad the new M2 iPad with Apple Pencil Pro is roughly $513.09 WITH TAX I’m upgrading.

Typing this from my iPad Air 5 (2022). As a casual user, this device has been doing amazing even after 2 years of usage. I wouldn’t recommend paying more for that little upgrade to the 2024 model. Unless of course, it’s your first iPad, like mine was.

can't really decide until after WWDC as it will really all come down to apple giving the ipad pro access to proper apps... it's just too limited in its current form
