Jyggalag, the only Daedric prince not mentioned in Skyrim (even in the book of the daedra) is depicted as having dark metallic armor. He was considered the most powerful prince before the other princes turned him into Sheogorath, fearing his power. Jyggalag could only become his self again once every era in an event known as the Greymarch. The Horo of Kvatch foiled Jyggalag's Greymarch following Uriel Septim's death, but the prince was released from his curse to roam the voids of Oblivion and never be seen or heard again. Both the Ebony Warrior and Jyggalag have dark, metallic-looking armor (though Jyggalag's is far more embelishes), so what if Jyggalag and the Ebony Warrior are one and the same? It is known that Daedric Princes are able to change their form to their liking, depending on who they face. This would make it logical for Jyggalag to change his form to the Ebony Warrior to hide his identity while facing the Dragonborn. His sword, rightly called the Sword of Jyggalag, is not found on the Ebony Warrior's body upon defeating him. However, he we know that The Hero of Kvatch is given the blade as a reward for defeating Jyggalag, so it is likely that he or she decided its fate. If Jyggalag had regained the blade, he could have also easily hidden it. Still, being bound to roam Oblivion, he would not have been able to retrieve the blade. I am one who believes that Jyggalag should re-enter The Elder Scrolls in TES VI, whether as a protagonist or villain, or both. This took me a while to research so please like this comment so that @FudgeMuppet sees this!

I think The Ebony Warrior is supposed to be a reflection of The Dragonborn and you've both lived glorious lives etc as you only meet him at level 80

The destruction of Winterhold may have something to do with the eruption of the Red Mountain, and the Colledge didn't cause the disaster but simply managed to keep itself from falling into the sea.
