Who Invented the Chicken Nugget?

Who Really Invented the Tea Bag?

In this video:

Fluoridation is the act of adjusting fluoride levels in water, with the goal of reducing tooth decay. In 1945, Grand Rapids, Michigan was the first city in the world to do it. In 1999, the CDC declared that water fluoridation was one of the ten great public health achievements of the 20th century. However, a quick online search will yield countless articles discounting these claims, with the general consensus of the dissenters being that fluoride is actually harmful to one’s health. So which is it? Is fluoride good or bad for you?

After passing my 16th kidney stone, my doctor was finally able to figure out what the issue is. Fluoride and calcium. For some reason my body doesn't process Calcium fluoride properly. I was informed that I either need to cut calcium almost completely out of my diet (which is a bad idea), or cut fluoride down to near zero intake (which just complicates my life, but otherwise not harmful). Having to make all my drinks with distilled water, cook with distilled water, change toothpastes and mouthwash, and watch out for foods with naturally high fluoride content. It's annoying having to watch and control everything I intake, but it's still better then passing kidney stones, or worse getting them suck in the ureter. So for me cutting fluoride from my diet was essential.

You forgot to mention that Fluoride is able to pass through the blood/brain barrier and calcify the Pineal Gland. How lovely.

Please revisit this in the future, and go over some of the areas you skipped with the depth you usually give to a topic.

I'm one of the rares. Fluoride makes me sick, taking it out of my water and toothpaste made a drastic improvement in my GERD problems. I think this area overflouridates anyway, I apparently have fluorosis, I recognize that discoloration.

The part you didn't mention as a reason not to, is that you are essentially medicating people without consent.

I am in favor of the government helping me prevent a tooth cavity.
I am opposed to the government forcefully searching my body cavity.

Damn I think that Fluoride really does lower IQ. Even making a video about it lowered the IQ of the comments section to just south of Ham Sandwich.

I had no idea that it caused teeth discoloration and those white spots. I have a white spot on my tooth and my teeth have never been white, despite regular brushing, never drinking coffee or wine, and using every whitening product known to man. Good to know that's what caused it. Crazy.

You forgot to mention that fluoride is naystey. I’m so glad we have a water softener and reverse osmosis system for drinking, cause it’s really groce otherwise. And no, I don’t have dental problems either.
As for brushing, I believe that it’s more the quality of the session then the frequency. I only brush, floss and rinse with listerine Zero once a day, and every time I go in to the dentist they not only don’t find cavities etc., but they consistently say I’ve been the easiest/quickest patient of the day (at the end of the day). I brush my whole mouth (cheeks, gums, tongue, roof, as well as under my tongue) and I know that has a positive effect, they have said that tartar (that leads to plaque) *can, * in fact, accumulate all over your mouth. It’s like if you have mud all over a table and wipe off only a small place, the remaining mud will naturally fill in that one little place you wiped off, you have to clean the whole table for your efforts to be worthwhile.

Fluoride was once prescribed for having hyperactive thyroid. It lowers the activity of the thyroid, which means lowering your production of hormones. That is very bad.
Fluoride is also an enzyme poison - once an enzyme has a fluoride ion in it, it sits there until the body breaks down the enzyme. This is why even a small amount of hydrofluoric acid will cause wounds that never heal (and not because it's an acid).
Statistically, when comparing countries with water fluoridation versus countries without, even the cavity prevention isn't proven.
It was also added to the water in nazi concentration camps during WW2.
Teeth do not need fluoride to remineralize.

Fluorides do not have any beneficial effects in the human body.

Fluoride is just bad for you, period.

Wow! the comments being made here are amazing! first off we are not talking about naturally occurring fluoride. what we are talking about is hydrofluorosilicic acid. or sodium fluoride which are defined as poisons. calcium fluoride is naturally occurring.

On the day Boulder, CO first fluoridated the water a bunch of people reported feeling ill as a result. Only there had been a snafu and they actually had to put off the start of fluoridation until the next day. An interesting variation on the placebo effect.

This video is so one sided that it lowers my trust in your channel as a whole. What you told us on your behind the scenes video about how much research you do for each video does not hold up to how utterly biased this video is. You let me down.
