I feel like if you're both grown adults with your finances in decent shape and your partner has been putting off getting married after being with you for more than like five years, chances are, they're just stringing you along. After a couple of years of being together, even if you're not prepared for marriage yet, you've got to have some idea of whether or not this is someone you can imagine being with forever. TEN YEARS is just ridiculous, imo.

My advice to you is to just move on with your life and completely forget that loserr. He has literally wasted 10 years of her life for nothing. She could've easily been started a family if she was with another man, but now she is still unmarried, childless, and now newly single too. OP was wise to kick him to the curb. However, it's possible Joe has some sort of addiction on his spending and gambling and may need help. Whatever the case may be, OP wasted ten years of her life on this guy when she could have been with someone better. Plus, the age gap when they started dating should have the first red flag for OP to pick up on.
