This was the first video I tried, and IT WORKED! I had gained weight since we had bought my wedding band 12 years ago, and it was starting to get too tight. I hadn't been able to take it off for over a year. This trick-- using dental floss and Windex-- is what got it off! I didn't think it was possible!
I had to use an extra long piece of floss, wind it lots and lots of times, and had to re-wind it three times as it was very hard to remove the ring. I just carefully pulled it back through without dislodging the ring's current position, re-wrapped it, and kept going again. After three times it was over the knuckle! Thank God!

I had back to back babies, born 1yr and 2 days apart, followed by an injury that left me hard casted and using crutches for 4 months, followed by the pandemic and weighing 80 pounds more than a few years back. For a month or so, I’d been waking multiple times a night with extreme pain and weakened muscles in my left hand. I thought it was Arthritis or possibly a carpel tunnel issue. I randomly mentioned it to a patron of my workplace yesterday, who informed me that it was likely from my wedding band, and that my finger tip was discolored and showing obvious signs of literally dying because of poor circulation, and that it was very likely the ring or my finger needed to go. On a whim, I decided to check YouTube and found this video. Initially, it didn’t work because I wasn’t even able to get the ribbon under the band. But after applying dawn dish soap and enlisting the help of a neighbor, I was finally able to remove my band. I’m not going to pretend it didn’t hurt. I def screamed and cried, and I’ve delivered 3 babies vaginal my without an epidural so my pain tolerance is pretty high. This was near torture. Going over the knuckle made me literally throw up from the pain. But it’s off, and as soon as I lose the weight, I can wear it again as it’s not cut. Down 8. 70 to go 💪🏻💪🏻

It worked! Thank you! My ring was truly, truly stuck. Like probably two ring sizes too small stuck. I tried all the hacks and nothing else even came close. For anyone else trying this, definitely get someone to help you--I tried and couldn't do it by myself.

2.41 in the morning and you liturally just saved my life I thought I was going to die or loose a finger my wedding ring was so stuck I tried the usual elevated fingers washing up liquid ice butter ect nothing but that absolutely genius Thank-you so much no cut off finger or wedding ring and I can go back to bed 😂 x

Thank you so much for posting. We added the thread idea with a second thread around the ring and pulled it off over the wrapped ones a thread at a time, sliding the second thread around the ring in a spiral motion

Absolutely brilliant, I've had a ring 'stuck' for 10yrs and this method worked...I had to add plenty of washing up liquid....but now feel liberated!
