Hollywood and Disney didn't need Godzilla to make them look stupid. They accomplished that all on their own.

Best movie hands down of the year.. no woke crap. Just pure authentic cinematic glory. Writers and producers knew exactly how to represent Godzilla and the humans

Just saw Godzilla Minus One today. It was a joy to walk out of the theater and not be angry or disappointed. It's not only a solid Godzilla movie but it's a solid film. It has grounded storytelling, fully developed characters, film score is haunting and sound design & visual effects are excellent. My best picture of 2023. Thank you Toho for reminding me why I love going to the movies.

Fantastic movie. REAL characters, REAL story, REAL relationships, REAL emotion, REAL spectacle, REAL stakes.

As a former MCU fan, but lifelong Godzilla fan, this pleases me greatly.

Godzilla got tired of stomping on Tokyo, so he tried stomping on Hollywood for a change

I loved it. I rarely watch a movie twice in the theaters, and I am excited to go watch it again on Sunday. No b!tc# daughter insulting or guilt-tripping a father, no forced diversity. I did not need to see my race represented in order to care for the characters.

This movie truly makes Disney and WB look pathetic

I think the reason the theaters are not throwing full support behind Japanese films in US theaters is because Hollywood does not want Japan out doing them in the US market and since the theaters are tied up with Hollywood I think Hollywood is putting pressure on the theaters to do shorter limited runs for Japanese films.

Toho knows the audience want. A giant monster destroying the city. Not a heavy handed political sermon. Also they like money.

I had tears in my eyes during some scenes. Something that hasn't happened from watching a movie in a long time for me. When this comes out, I am buying a physical copy and putting it up on display.

I saw this in IMAX yesterday and it was great. The fact that they made this film with $15 million (which costs about as much as airing a 30 second commercial during the Super Bowl) is astonishing. Hollywood really needs to take notes after their strings of flops this year.

I watched it last night at the IMAX pre-screening. At one point, everyone in the theater clapped after this one part. That was awesome. Cant say a lot of movies generate a reaction like that. I got choked up over the story of the little girl and the strange woman. The writing is absolutely awesome. Instead of typical Hollywood BS where everyone in the film is overly confident and arrogant, this film genuinely shows people helping one another and the man and woman helped each other and needed each other. No girl power crap and making men look stupid. No mention of LGBTQ at all. It was a breath of fresh air for a change. I’m going to see it again

Just a reminder that this movie had a 15 Million USD each episode of She-Hulk was roughly 25

I watched it in Japan and was totally blown away. Godzilla Minus One is SO GOOD. Before the movie began, I was subjected to a couple of Hollywood trailers, including one from Disney. I rolled my eyes so hard at their usual over-acting, lack of substance and originality.

Anything produced in Japan is done with not just proficiency, but also passion for the craft. And they can handle a budget. They don't try to over do it. Like you said some stuff will look a bit off maybe, but it's done in a way that the story takes over you actually suspend your disbelief. Can't wait to go watch this. First movie in a while.

I am more excited to go see Godzilla Minus One than anything out of Disney in years.

The whole movie was well done. The soundtrack was right off of godzilla movies past, the sound was superb. Everything was explained perfectly as to why certain things were the way they are. Godzilla's breath weapon was really cool. The humans were relatable you felt something you wanted them to survive and not suffer. The better mousetrap or godzilla trap to fight him was as innovative as ever for godzilla movies. They were really innovative and the best part? When the sound stopped. The whole theater held thier breathe. Hell not much talking or cellphones out after the first few minutes of the movie.

I’m 63 and went to see this with my youngest daughter (20). We both really enjoyed it. Helluva good time! This reminded me of seeing Jaws for the first time. There was a lot of similarities to jaws I found in this film. For the budget this film looked and sounded amazing. We were both surprised at the amount of tension and emotion that this movie generated. This is the first time I have ever found Godzilla when it appears to be a terrifying and menacing presence on screen. We had to drive 45mins to find an IMAX theater with this but it was well worth it. The size of the screen and the sound quality really make this a terrific film to see. This is one of the better films I have seen in a few years and definitely the best Godzilla film of them all.
