As a teen, it was Ponds to remove makeup and Noxema to wash. Now I probably have 52 different products, cleansers, toners, exfoliators, serums, oils and so on and so on. I watched Prepper Princess' video on her products and she uses Dollar Tree shampoo and has the shiniest hair, where I'm spending so much more trying to find that same result. I think I'm going to start over and go back to basics. Thanks for this video.

My grandmother often said make up doesn't help when one' s ugly inside😉 but she did a lot of things around beauty in a frugal way: she only used a bar of soap for body and hair and had a sponge to bubble it up, I never saw plastic bottles in her shower! By the Way the shower was in one room with the heating next to the garage, so they had to leave the house for the shower... which actually saves a lot of money😇 she only used Nivea cream and she always had Cologne water, and some very good perfume in the bathroom. She would never spray perfume but put atinylittlebit on her finger and rub it on her neck and wrists...

My mother never wore much make up - lipstick and a compact (face powder) to take the shine off her nose. I never used soap on my face, too drying and moisturiser brought me out in spots. I never wore foundation and feel thankful now, as my skin is in great shape - I look easily 20 years younger and people cannot believe my true age.

Your daughter is positively gorgeous!! My mom had gorgeous skin. It was genetics and cocoa butter from Palmers. I have never used soap on my face (used Noxema growing up) and am blessed to have good skin like Mom. I use a combination of retinol, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. It's not cheap, but a little goes a long way. Growing up in Wisconsin my skin was rarely exposed to the sun because there isn't any. When I moved to Utah and spent every weekend and one week night hiking, I always wore a large hat. Living in southern Nevada, I still do. I'm working on drinking more water. You are always an inspiration Dawn. Thank you!!

We call soda 'pop' here in England too. Losing the outer third of the eyebrow can be a symptom of an underactive thyroid, or an undertreated underactive thyroid. I still mostly drink water. My Nan (grandmother) always recommended when I used hand cream to put it on my elbows and knees too. I do it every night before bed. It keeps my elbows and knees soft.

My sister and I would babysit to get money for makeup and Ojs beauty lotion to help dry my very oily and acne plagued skin. As I've gotten older (68 now ) my skin is prettier and young looking thanks to my grandmothers genes and the advice I got along the way. Your mother and daughter are beautiful.
