Maori All Blacks perform the Haka

In their first ever game at Thomond Park the Maori All Blacks honour the memory of Anthony Foley before performing the Haka.

In the book "Facing the haka" the team Kaumatua (Elder) spoke of how the NZ Maori Team had wanted to honour the memory of Andrew Foley. Wananga (Deep discussions) within the team were held over how they would go about this. They felt Andrew Foley exhibited the true values of the translation of the haka. It was decided they would offer up a jersey with his initials and Haka over it as a mark of respect. 'It was tika- the correct thing to do.

People have been tricked into thinking that ka mate is what a haka is and how haka is performed. This is how real haka is and is performed.
