We almost need a small cable authentication device. Of course, I’d guess those who frequently forget and need to borrow a cable are also likely to forget an additional cable authenticator. Be nice if the phone or computer could self authenticate the cable. I’d hate to borrow a cable then find out someone got my RuneScape credentials

My guess is to scan for networks first to detect if a cable is fake or genuine. It surely should be detectable?
