Would you like your tattoo removed? • The effect our laser has on the skin after a tattoo removal session will vary from person to person. Immediate skin reactions often consist of frosting, redness and swelling.

In this video you can see me using my @lynton_lasers #lyntonlumina Active Q-Switched Laser to treat this clients tattoo.

Did you know, as we progress through our course of tattoo removal treatments we need to increase the intensity of the laser so it can target those ink particles located deeper in the skin? It is perfectly normal to expect pin point bleeding the further we are along our tattoo removal journey. This is because we are trying to target and shatter those stubborn ink particles that are located deeper in our layers of skin.

Pin point bleeding or petechiae as it is medically known is caused by tiny superficial blood vessels (capillaries) breaking and leaking into the surrounding skin.
If you look closely at the skin you can also see some frosting. This white frosted appearance indicates that the ink in the tattoo has been properly absorbed by the laser; a great indicator that our laser is doing its job!

As time passes, the skin will begin to heal and it might start to feel dry and itchy. At this point it is really important not to scratch or pick at the area! Taking care of your skin while it’s healing is one of the most important parts of the process, and will help ensure you’re left without scars or skin discoloration when removal is complete.

I hope you enjoyed watching, as alway get in touch with any questions!
