One thing to remember with the Rebel on highways: the sixth gear is an overdrive meant for driving at constant speed for fuel economy. For top speed and acceleration you want to drop down to fifth gear.

I bought this rebel, I love it to death, every time I get on it I fall in love. Over and Over again.

46 years old and I've never ridden before. I plan on taking a course and eventually buying a bike. This one looks to be right up my alley. I LOVE the style. Like you said, it's a whole vibe. I can see myself riding one of these to and from work daily.

Nice little bike. Honda makes some good bikes and cars too! I had a 97 Valkyrie and loved it!! Had to sell it to pay my taxes!!! 😡😡😡 then I had a stroke a few years ago that took away my balance. Thought my ridding days were over. Then I discovered the F-3S Spyder by Can Am. No balance required! I’m back in the wind!!!! Wind therapy is a real thing, I here to tell ya!!! Love my Spyder!!!

The only changes:
1.) a windshield.
2.) a tachometer.
3.) an engine guard.
4.) a different exhaust/like an arrow rebel.
5.) a better seat.

I owned a first gen Rebel 500. It was a great bike for riding around a big city. I still regret selling it.

I just bought a Rebel 500, never ridden road bikes before only dirtbikes. I’m 5’9” 150lbs, I have my temps and only ridden a few times round town for maybe an hour. I thought about a 125 or a 300. I feel like a Rebel 300’s they have to little power to comfortably ride highway speeds. I think the smallest I’d ever get on a bike would be a drz 400, or a ninja 400. I’ve was looking at other bikes before buying the 500 and this is the only bike I felt comfortable on. So for a simple, light, city/highway bike to have fun on. I love it. I might sell it in a year or two to get a bigger bike like a 600+. But so far I love the bike and I don’t plan on selling it any time soon!

My dream bike. Only Honda haven't decided to bring it to my country (yet). That's what makes it the bike of my dreams, that which I can only dream of! (cries in Spanish)

I have the 1100 and it has the same two problems the 500 does. That seat is not meant for long rides and that exhaust sounds like a sewing machine. People complain about how much gas it holds, but unless you riding off into nowhere, its generally fine. Swap out the first two and the bike is fun.

Just hit 10k on my 2021 Rebel 1100. The rebel line is just fantastic and you can’t beat the reliability!

O.C. I would get the rebel 1100 for myself just because I already have a 650 ninja and also because my girlfriend loves cruisers. Love the look and love that they add LEDs from the factory.

I have the same bike, but the base model non-abs. I love how it's super easy to use as a beginner rider.

If you're contemplating getting one, but thinking about being able to keep up with bigger bikes don't worry. I ride with zx14rs, huyabusa, s1000s, r1, 600s, and 650s. And I keep up just fine . It won't win a speed contest but you'll definitely be able to ride with bigger bikes

I have a 22 Rebel 500. GREAT city/beginner bike. I’m always getting compliments from all walks of life. It’s a a must for any stable. You definitely may want a 2nd/faster bike though.

OC: I like the colour scheme for the Rebel SE. I'm not much of a cruiser guy, but definitely could see a city cruiser being a fun daily ride. Also seeing cop Chase head pop up I expected you to get pulled over again and if Yummi saw this and saw Cop Chase he'd be dying 😂😂😂
