It can be so sad. I was my dogs 4th home. He was so distrustful and still so young. Still, after a couple of months, he just climbed on the couch, looked in my eyes, and collapsed against my chest. He never wanted to be touched before but that day he told me he trusted me, and I haven’t been able to keep him away since. He loves his cuddles and his bed. Rescues are so passionate.

As a doggy daycare owner and a foster father of six puppy’s I have always believed that all dogs should be treated equally but when I scroll I see them hurt and abandoned and I get sad so I work harder to achieve my goal and now you have made my day better by helping me out

Reminds me of the first day I adopted my GS + Australian shepherd. They’re so grateful for the little things, like a bed and a face to lick, and their joy is contagious!
Don’t overlook the “adult” and “senior” dogs at your local shelters! Got mine at 4yr old, and she turned out to be the best dog we ever had, and was with us for another decade………. I will always miss you my sweet Sassy.
