There are 2 kind of Chinese smartphones.

1. Chinese branded smartphones.
Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo, Vivo, Oppo, ZTE.
These manufacturers made their phones with high precision manufacturing techniques involved lots of robots with international standard equal to South Korean counterparts. These Chinese branded companies cared and put high details for their security and quality.

2. Chinese budget smartphones with names you never heard of intended for Africa, Central Asia, Middle East, and northern part of South East Asia, because all of them bought parts from cheap OEM companies and assemble it themselves using low cost techniques mostly manual human labour. And don't expect for any further updates and security from these budget smartphone makers.

At the end you get what you deserve based on how much you spent.

I had to get a cheap phone while my lg g6 was being repaired. I found that my redmi 4x was a far more enjoyable (and much more long lasting) phone than the large g6. I sold my g6 and now just use the 4x. The main area of difference is the camera, which is average at best. That is usually the main drawback

Mostly the price difference goes for the brand name, as an example Xiaomi uses snapdragon CPUs and a good camera setup with amazing battery in their phones and the price is still nearly half the other brands with the exact same specs.
As a conclusion brands are just a robbery.

The cheap Chinese mobile phone does not mean that it is poor in quality. China's brands are new brands, they don't have the appeal of Samsung and apple, so Chinese brands attract customers by reducing their own profits. So, Chinese mobile phones have a higher performance/price ratio than other brands.

I love the Chinese phones and iam in UK...I dont use the Camera or play games on my smartphones and on average pay between £150 and £250 on Chinese smartphones...Been buying Chinese Smartphones for 5 yrs now...Who cares if they dont get updates or Oreo...Iam very happy what comes out of China :-)

This is kinda dilemma. For a guy like me who live in South East Asia, cheap chinese smartphone is always the best choice. The reason is, well you know, it's affordable a.k.a. cheap but they don't suck. I don't wanna make an excuse but we don't have GDP/Capita as high as in Europe. For the cheap price, chinese manufacturer would do anything as you can see in TechMagnet videos. However, because of the cheap price, people all over the world can afford a smartphone, even in Africa.

and it only cost me 170 dollars.

Just depends on the RAM and CPU. Usually most 2GB RAM android phones are cheap but not suitable to install too many apps. Another reason is CPU, the cheap MediaTek are poor in performance and not suitable for heavy mobile games.

As soon as i realized i could buy a CAR for the price of a new branded phone i swapped to phones from china and never looked back.
They do 80% of the things branded phones do for 20% of the price.

Bought myself a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, 4gb RAM, 64gb internal, Snapdragon 625, exactly 3 months ago which costs only USD $179. I usually get 9-10 hours of heavy gaming nonstop with minimal phone heat. The charging time(0%-100%)takes a full 2 hours though.

Even iPhone is made in China! Is that a security hassle? Is it a cheap Chinese phone charging too much money? If you don't want "Cheap or expensive Chinese phones" You have to stick with Korean phones. LG and Samsung. Or you may buy a Nokia from Finland! One of your cheap crap opinions was "cheap Android phones". So which phones left are??? And Android is bad. Cheap phones come into a market with few big too expensive providers. In a year cheap phones will be main stream.

Owner of a Doogee F5 (1080p, 5, 5'', 3GB RAM, 16GB+64GB storage, 8 cores, $100), its been 4 years now, and its still perfect in all ways. Currently playing Implosion, FF Mobius and Opera Omnia on it (and some other little games that i dont play). Got his restore/backup. Managed to get new one (with broken display) to serve as replacement parts. I opened him 3 times by now to clear him, no parts were replaced, battery last for 2 days (new one last for 3 days, 3000mAh, or real 2150mAh, so wont replace it anytime soon).

Its not all about quality, like USA or EU who got their own companies to make smartphones, laptops, etc., China got its own. Its closed country, and most popular companies there arnt popular here, same goes from here to there. Something thats very popular there, we will never hear about it here, and things thats popular here in our world, they never hear it.
And they have strategy to take over the world, and they are doing it fine...
