The problem is if we give an inch the government and big corporations will take a mile. 20 years later that 5k dollar car will cost essentially the same as a real car negating the entire point.

About the battery drain. My Acura had a blue tooth that just kept searching for a signal. It will drain my battery in three days if I didn’t run the car. Look for something like that. Once I disconnected it I never had a problem again

Battery range on electric cars is based on temperature. The lower the temperature, the lower the range. This applies to all lithium batteries.

Never charge lithium at low temperature! Doing so will destroy the capacity.

The range is also an estimate!

To increase the range/capacity of lithium batteries, try not to let the battery drain below 20%. Also prefer slower charging rates.

I am an engineer that worked on lithium battery systems.

FOR THE GUY THAT NEEDS HIS TURN SIGNAL TO BE LOUDER, WHEN U USE YOUR
SIGNAL IT ALSO HAS A LIGHT ON THE LEFT & RIGHT SIDE OF YOUR INSTRUMENT
PANEL. WHEN U MAKE A RIGHT, THE LIGHT ON THE RIGHT SIDE WILL BLINK AND AS
FOR THE LEFT, THE LEFT WILL BLINK ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS REMEMBER TO LOOK ?

One thing I really miss - hood turn signal indicators - like the one guy in this video, I often don't hear the turn signal of my 99 Mustang, particularly if radio is on. So cool to see the left or right hood turn signal indicators light up, and it seems like they would also help warn traffic alongside you that you intend to turn -

If the Audi's computer said that there was adequate range when there wasn't, there is obviously something wrong with it. Personally, I'd never buy an Audi anything or any other VW product for that matter. In fact, I avoid all German cars. But a friend bought an Audi electric SUV last year and loves it. He also owns a Tesla and a Mercedes. The Benz is currently in the shop, of course.

Hi Scotty, really enjoy your videos and it's great to see someone who really knows what he's talking about, even if some of the models you refer to aren't relevant to us in the UK. I had a 2005 Renault Clio which starting misfiring on load and it was the coil pack that was the culprit. Had it for 14 years and never let me down.

My brother has a 2010 Chevy Malibu and it has allot of warning lights. Service ESC, Power steering, ABS Warning, TPMS warning, Low tire pressure, airbag lights are on. It only has 67k miles on it. Don't buy one. His blue books for 525$

I'd buy one of those $5k WuLing's in a heartbeat as a second car or runabout...
I don't need performance in the peak hour crawl to work.

China is poised to be to  EV market and a leading manufacturer, having an impact on the U.S. auto market that is no different than what the low cost, high gas mileage Toyota and Honda sedans did to the big American car market starting in the 1970s.

Scotty, I live in Thailand. We just purchased a Chinese car from Great Wall Motors. The Haval H6 Ultra HEV. It's currently the number 1 selling car in China. Fully loaded it is still less than 35K usd. For a hybrid SUV. The car is beautiful and runs great. Getting 17km per liter. Or about 45 mpg for a full size SUV. It also has great acceleration. Maybe someday they will get the USA.

My engine just started to run really rich after head replacement. 1/4 gets me only 60miles. No check engine light. It bogs on idle and sputters while driving. Lack of power.
