This is not about a streaming FM radio app. This is about an actual FM tuner residing inside your smartphone that you may not even know about.
Using this tuner via the app I show in the video allows you to receive FM local broadcast radio even if you have no cell coverage or wifi reception.

Certain phones have this already you just have to know how to unlock it or expose it. I show you this in the video. It's almost like hacking your android phone.

Just watch your video in 2023 of this year. I love the FM radio I only buy smart phone that has it now as a studernt I love music but not want to pay for data to have over the air local radio station. That app is great I used it as well thanks to you

Just tested this app. Yes it works on the samsung galaxy s7. It no longer supports streaming internet radio. But you can still use the actual fm radio if your device has fm radio capabilities. I'm listening to the radio right now. No data used. Great application for entertainment and emergencies.

How do you figure you hacked or unlocked anything ??
Your gm chip in your phone was already unlocked there just wasn't an app installed to play it until you installed the one in the video...
Would be GREAT if you could actually show a person how to unlock the chip as, yes it's true, most android phones have a fm chip in yhem, just not unlocked for use do you're forced to stream over the internet costing you money...

I could pay 100 bucks a year for a certain Internet radio app so that I can listen to certain sports events, or I could pull out my long-unused Samsung phone and put Next Radio Free on it. I'm listening to a local college game now by using a set of dollar-store 3.5mm-jack headphones as my antenna -- and playing audio through the phone's speaker, because the app lets you do that as well. Nice! (And yes, LG phones have an FM Radio app already included -- one of my old LGs certainly does, at least -- but I don't think I've seen a manufacturer-installed one on any Samsung phone I've ever owned.)

This is a great tool to have. It would be nice if all manufacturers and carriers included and enabled FM radios in their phones. It's super frustrating trying to find a true FM Radio app, so many apps say FM Radio but they are really streaming radio and not using the internal receiver in your phone. My Moto G5 has a receiver and came with a stock FM Radio app, but my old Galaxy On5 needed this app to enable the FM Radio.

They apps you can down load are trunkcate. They don't have a record button, and don't give you a simple tuner. The phones that come with the radio app are simple but they have everything you need, and a record button.

My LG G4 H811 (T-Mobile carrier) phone does not have a built in radio, and I downloaded this radio app and installed on my phone, but it still does not work. What I realize is that it can not be fixed by an app, but it may be fixed by an os update or change or it may be it is disabled at the hardware level.

Awesome video. How do we listen to the sound via phone speaker or the external speaker instead of listening to it via headphone?

My device isn't specifically listed, but I noticed an LG, presumably from LG, "FM Radio" app and it prompted to use my headset as the antenna. Two things, how do headphones act as the antenna? Second, it sounds like the LG K4 (2017) my device does have an FM radio transmitter built-in, which is pretty awesome, since I have a prepaid data block on my account (my choice). :)

It's fake It uses wifi/data to listen to it if it was a real fm app it would ask for you to plug headphones in and it would not show stations that are like 300miles away it is fake don't download

I have this app for my phone it works perfectly, you scroll up to the top left dropdown, select basic tuner and plug in your heaphones the ground wire on your headphones acts as the antenna !!

Some phones can transmit and some cant.
Live app wich requires a internert WILL NOT WORK Without Internet..
