View part 1 here:

Let's take a little closer look at how magnets work with John Robert from Holmes Hobbies.

Magnets are mysterious, but we can understand them a bit more.

Follow along as John describe a little magnetic magic!

This is a great example of why I love your channel!

That's a good overview - thanks!

I've heard arguments regarding this (as in yes it does, no it doesn't), so I'll hopefully I'm asking this question fairly straight forward (although I have no doubt the answer is probably complicated) - if everything else being equal, would a stronger magnet equate more power?

I was expecting a tube when you started. The angle works, maybe a channel would show it better.
Great Video! Thanks.

I don't really understand magnets much more than before watching this but it does explain why aluminum wires (in cheap mobile homes) tend to get hot! Thank you for attempting to reveal one of the (magic) secrets of the universe!😎

I pretty much understand how magnets work. I'm trying to wrap my head around the black magic that is used to make motors both powerful and smooth. When you feel the effort required to just turn the armature in a powerful electric motor you have to wonder how it can run smoothly at low speeds. At high speeds you will have lots of inertia to keep the armature spinning but how is smoothness built in? Other questions also come to mind. if you completely disregarded smooth start-up, about how much more speed could you get from a motor, percentage-wise? How much does that change with pole count? How do the Revolvers have such smooth start-up without sensors, is it all to do with pole count?

More good how-it-works content, thank you!
Also, where to babies come from?

Induction can be demonstrated using an Audio speaker magnet and coil. This audio equipment is in most people's houses. It is Faraday that I remember when I look at electric motors. Thanks.

This reminds me of a Mythbusters episode where they used magnets to alter the trajectory of a lead bullet. They thought it was that they're was so much magnetism that it affected the bullet, but I think they were wrong, after seeing this.

John I gotta ask, what is your favorite turn of Magnum? currently rocking a Crawlmaster pro 13t and I got Magnum on the mind.

Nicely done but what about heat ?? They influence magnets in a great way and it is certainly an issue in RC.🤨

Thanks for making me have to go and dust off my remedial quantum mechanics knowledge. lol

i love researching em fields and physics of electricity.
the power is not in the wires!!!

We are in a Polar Shift, it's what's screwing up the weather patterns. Scientist baffled by the increase in speed over the last two years. Magnetic north is moving towards the equator at the rate of 10 1/2 miles a month and should reach 40 degrees latitude by this time next year. To scary for most, that's why it not in the news. It would blow their green deal apart.
