"Last Train to London" might be the last hurrah of what was called disco. The song is from 1979. It was a bigger hit in the UK than the US. ELO's big hit in the US that year was "Don't Bring Me Down", which is definitely a rock song. Electric Light Orchestra dropped some of the best pop tunes of the seventies -- "Turn To Stone", "Evil Woman", "Mr Blue Sky", "Showdown", "Do Ya" among them. Check them all out when you can. But if you want more disco instead, start with The Bee Gees -- "Stayin Alive", "Jive Talkin", "Night Fever", "More Than A Woman" -- and then KC & The Sunshine Band - "That's the Way (I Like It)", "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty", "Keep It Comin' Love", "Get Down Tonight", "Boogie Shoes". I was a kid back then so I could easily point you to two dozen other disco classics from back then. But that's more than enough for now!

Yes, Main man Jeff lynne is a musical genius, they mixed orchestra with rock, so many cracking tunes, try telephone lines or tightrope, so many the list could go on, great reaction..

When I was 13 years old in 1980 I discovered ELO through their big radio hit "Don't Bring Me Down" and the soundtrack to the motion picture "XANADU"! I've been a major fan ever since! I love this track "Last Train To London"! I also love "Shine a Little Love" "All Over The World" "I'm Alive" & "Turn To Stone"

Love your reaction bruv, but this is the epitome of DISCO! Quick hint: any banger with that solid 'four-on-the-floor' bass line (every on-beat from 1-4 is constantly hit) then, it's always disco boy! Love you and ELO ;)
