I spent a quite a bit of time in the Middle East. While Muslims may say homosexuality is unacceptable, but it's rampant among young Muslim men. They have no access to women unless they are married, which can't happen until they have a considerable sum to "buy" a wife. Then there's the tradition of "Dancing Boys" in Afghanistan & Pakistan, which are a status symbol and even preferred by many men even if they do have wives.

Well, he’s right. Islam like all the Abrahamic religions considers homosexuality a sin. Muslims don’t compromise, unlike many of the followers of the other religions.

There was a lot of things in the 14th century we believe to be ok, including a lot of barbaric behaviour. Hopefully now we recognise compassion and equality. We no longer live in the 14th century, there is a need to update a beliefs based on being kind to others, new knowledge and understanding, and less judgement and cruelty and condemnation especially race, religion, disability and sexual preference.

When you chose to live and work in a developed Western country then its on you to follow their rules, laws and traditions. If not then you're not welcome! The West moved on from backward thinking decades even centuries ago, if the Muslim faith can't do the same then its doomed.
