Man finds abandoned baby girl alone on Manitoba street

A man was shocked when he found an 18-month-old girl left alone in a stroller near downtown Brandon, Man. Sarah Plowman reports.

If her purse was still attached to the stroller then she was probably wondering around drunk and forgot where she left the baby. Either way its unacceptable.

If you can’t deal with children don’t have them. they need love patience food and security. I feel for babies that are abandoned. no matter what excuses the parent/parents come up with. I can’t have children due to mainly my heart problems. It breaks my heart to see these stories

Wonder how this happened. A person who abandons a baby doesn't leave their identification with the baby.

It was really smart of him to call the police. Too many men have found unattended children, taken the child around the area trying to find the child's parent(s), and end up being accused of or even charged with kidnapping.

You do not leave a baby in a stroller on a sidewalk, at some strangers doorstep, or any other random location. If you cannot care for it, take it to the fire station, hospital or call social workers or police to come get it. You will not be in trouble if you reach out for help in getting the baby to a safe place.
