Revisited your review again because I picked up a 55" today at BB at an amazing price. Can't wait to set it up. Cable TV, streaming and 4K movies are all I do so looking forward to an amazing picture.

Let me tell you all something. In 2007 I went to the sony store at my local mall and dropped four thousand and nine hundred dollars in CASH. Yes cash! Cause you could still do that in 2007. I bought 47 inch KDLXBR4. Which in Canada cost A LOT of money. Its been almost 14 years and my TV is still kicking with absolutely nothing wrong with it. In fact every time I turn it on now, I keep wondering when something is going to crap out on it. What makes it even more unreal, is the picture is still phenomenal. The quality of the true 1080HD and the part/technology that was put into it, is still unreal. This TV is 14 years old and still looks better than pretty much every TV that my friends and family members own.

Let me be the first to tell you that SONY is no joke when it comes to TV's. Thats why the TV in this review, and more importantly the functions it has and the technology in it to back it up are amazing.

I wish I had 5000 bucks to buy the top of the line sony again, but its different times were in now. I will however be buying another SONY tv just from the outstanding value I've gotten from my current one, and Im seriously considering one of these AH8 and putting my current one in the bedroom.

Hey Caleb, great review as usual. What do you know about any Sony A9G replacement for this year? Will there be a Sony A9H? or has it been postponed until 2021 as the A9I to possibly continue the Master Series?

You don't need hdmi 2.1 for gaming atm unless you have a Series s/x. Until the refresh it will be needed.
