I'm hyped for this simply because I loved the original game. And I'm fine with the graphics not getting a major overhaul since the overall gameplay has gotten a much needed improvement.

Totally agree with you. Not only are there not any improvements to the game, it runs really poorly now. The day1 patch never happened. I definitely have buyers remorse. Anyone that thinks this game looks good and wants to give it a try, grab the original from amazon for half the price!

Subbed, this was probably the best review I have seen and heard of this Re-Reckoning. I have the game on that stupid Origin App, so I'm not sure if that counts for me to get it half off via Steam. In any case, I may wait until a sale to get this, as I did not get very far with the original and I loved it so far. Hopefully by then, a lot of the bugs will be worked out. Still, a 3 out of 5 is still very decent score. Thank you again.

With all this in mind, I think I am still gonna be picking this one up. Love game, the prospect of new content down the road excites me, and if this does well enough we may get a sequel. That is more than enough reason for me to drop the money on a game I love again.

I'm just wondering if they fixed the gamebreaking glitch where the game doesn't recognize that you've broken all of the red crystals in the Silence Falls mission. Never managed to make it past that one.

I've bought it on PS3 and Steam I'm not buying another version when the one I've got is pretty much just as good. Shame because this game deserved better. Side note I did a double take when this came up on my recommended videos. Nice to see Ellen telling it how it is about this remake.

Small correction: the game is not half price for Steam users. I did consider getting the re-release, but decided against it when I saw I would get a whooping 10% discount. Yes, I liked the game but not so much that a few minor upgrades and the option to eventually buy an expansion would justify the near full price.

Pre-ordered the physical copy, got a box with a code in it for Origin. Now owners of the game get it cheaper, so long as you bought it on steam instead of the "physical" copy on origin. I'll wait a few years and get it for $5.

Well, I never played it back in 2012! I bought it a couple of days ago and have not put it down since. It is a great game! I actually love the charm of the older graphics and the way it plays. If you have not played this game (and there is a strong possibility you haven’t), and you love a deep, fun RPG, then get this game. You will not be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this when I played it on the 360 when it was originally available. It's nice to see it getting another chance without all the legal issues surrounding it. I wish more reviews would mention that bit while they shit on the graphics and dating of the game.
Remaster might not be the correct term for this instance but like I said, I think it's more about the devs finally getting their work out there and available after so long.

I LOVE it too! Glad there are so many other fans out there! Also great review! And yeah they mostly did texture work to make the up-rez look okay. I'm okay with that though as this is the same treatment Darksiders got and THQ Nordic is an indie level publisher still... not to mention this, like the Darksiders remasters, is for the fans and to drum up support and money for the new game they are for sure making (again like they were for Darksiders). Even if it was a straight up port I would have bought it but the fact there is a new difficulty AND new Expansion planned for next year that was more then I could have hoped for.
