iPhone 14 Pro vs iPhone 15 in 2024: Which one is a better choice?

Since these 2 phones are similarly priced in 2024, I thought it'd be useful to make a comparison/review of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 to see which one is a better choice.

I used to have an iPhone 12, and I thought the ProMotion feature was overhyped. But when I switched to the iPhone 13 Pro Max last year, the UI experience completely changed for me. Everything from scrolling to opening apps feels incredibly smooth.

I went from 11 to 14 pro purple and I’m happy with my choice, the color is crazy is doesn’t even look purple in the light it kinda hits a dark blue or even gray. It’s awesome 👏:)

There's a reason why it's called "pro" and much more expensive that the regular and plus versions of their series. Also, the deep purple is the real win for me 😂

It depend on what people want, However, i would argue that apart from 120Hz and telephoto lens, there nothing that 14 offer more than 15. It has worse Battery Life, Heavier Build ( for me its a con because i put my phone in my pocket) . 15 and 15 plus lowkey deserve a good look even compare to 15 pro series

i had iphone 14pro and i change it to the 15 i think its better then the 14 pro the 120hz after 2 days of using 60hz you dont feel a difference and always on display is a waste of battery and the iPhone 14pro is so big and heavy ofc the 14pro more smooth and looks more premium if you love phone and be looking for every detail and keep thinking abt hz and camera to the point you can’t use the phone go with the 14pro if u want a better day to day use get 15 it fits in pocket better it good sum new features..so out of 9 the 14pro is 8.5 and 15 is 7.8

For me 120 hz is much more efficient than 60 hz and I would never switch to the normal version, pro is pro .. much better

The 14 pro is better no question better camera 120hz screen even tho the stainless steel leaves fingerprints it’s still more nice overall and the aod display too it may drain a bit more battery but overall a better look

The biggest difference for camera system will actually be the ultrawide. Apart from the 3X zoom, of course.. the regular 15 straight up can’t even compete.

The regular 15’s ultrawide, as with any other regular iPhones since iPhone 11 have inferior sensor, slower aperture of F/2.4 and doesn’t come with any sort of auto focus capabilities.

iPhone 14 Pro ultrawide uses IMX633 sensor which is also found in iPhone 15 Pro, it has bigger sensor size of 1/2.55”, quicker aperture at F/2.2 and feature PDAF auto focus working together with LiDAR sensor.

In daylight, the difference wouldn’t be as much but at medium to low light onwards, the difference in image/video quality is night and day. The regular iPhones output deteriorate quickly, much softer around the corners, lacking details because it doesn’t have auto focus capability and overall output is much darker with visible noise all around due to slower aperture.

Also worth mentioning, even though they both have 48MP sensor.. 14 Pro and regular 15 have different sensor. The main 48MP camera for iPhone 14 Pro is the same sensor found in iPhone 15 Pro which is Sony IMX803. Featuring bigger sensor size of 1/1.28” and larger pixel size of 1.22um. It also has wider field of view of 24mm.

The regular 15 uses slightly new design 48MP sensor but comes with smaller sensor size of 1.56” and smaller pixel size of 1.0um with standard, narrower field of view of 26mm.

14 pro is probably better but it’s very hard to find it new and even refurbished it can be more expensive than the 15. For the price value i ended up going for the 15, most of the people wont need the pro characteristics

I had ip14pro max sold & bought 15 plus 😅 it was a mistake though. I swear i had to buy 14 pro max again in just 3 months.
Pro series is PRO!! series.

iPhone 15 has a better camera, I have seen many tests about it. You can shoot 24 mp in automatic mode, the new photo algorithm has the HDR5 version, you can switch between lenses while shooting videos, and you can control the battery cycle. New is always good.
