My vote is for leaving it intact and fixing it up. A flatbed truck with a dump bed is much more useful than a little old pick-up.

Dude, don't yank the motor out. She needs to live and she's showing you her potential. Love how you get these old ones running and driving again.

I think the truck should be kept intact and all original. Definitely need to flush out the cooling system and check the ignition timing. With some hard work she will be a solid runner. That old Flathead sounds great. Hard to believe those old trucks actually run and drive. Makes me want to buy an old car and wrench on it. Keep making these interesting videos.

That F6 is worth keeping its flathead, truly amazing how everything in it still works just fine after 40 years of sitting

I'm 70, and one of my earliest memories was that my Father owned a 48 Ford Flatbed almost identical to this one. It was grey with a stake-side flatbed that he used to haul products around on in the Newburgh, New York area, including large boxes packed with dry ice to haul Ice cream to some of the Summer Camps in the Adirondack Mountains north of New York City.
I'd love to find another one like it...

I was born in 1955 and grew up with a dad and an uncle that worked on old vehicles like this all the time. Your videos bring back great memories for me. I used to stick my hands in the oil and grease just so I could use a hand cleaner to clean them. At that time the hand cleaner was yellow and in a tall can like a tennis ball can. Thanks buddy.

This is the best thing on You Tube, these days. No politics, no international news. I love that you have revived these great old vehicles. Carry on and thanks!

I love watching you resurrect the dead, I turned my father in law onto your videos and he’s an old truck guy 🇺🇸

This truck is worth keeping the motor in. She's loyal! You'll come across another motor in your line of work

I used to use that PB blaster, acetone, ATF mix on Geo Metros and Corollas to free stuck piston rings, works well. I always added a little B12 Berryman's to the mix and that would free those rings right up

We are sticking with you!!! You are doing it right. Taking the right steps. Very impressive: skill, knowledge, patience, and the love of a running engine. Really want to see more!

Man, you are a magician. That was fantastic. Something that close to being healthy again needs to be given its chance. Still you're the boss. thanks again.
