I don’t understand how people fail to see the irony…in the biggest democracy the Indian National Congress is still a monarchy. The party’s main leadership has and is from the Nehru-Gandhi family. Every decision is still taken by the family members instead of the elected members.

There are many local parties in India like this. Keeping the reigns within the family. It’s not very nice.

For all the people commenting here. I was merely pointing out that party decisions should be delegated to capable leaders and shouldn’t stay within one family. I don’t think I’ve indicated anywhere in my comment that everyone should vote BJP or elect Modi. Having diversity in leadership positions can lead to new ideas, better manifestos, better outcomes, etc.

What kind of twister logic is this.. the party that won 240 seat is rejected and the party that once ruled india stuck at 99 is somehow beating their chest as if they won? To win 3 consecutive terms is rarely done.

People in India don't want the development of infrastructure, military upgradation, strong internal security, flourishing J&K, pok, boost in startups, easy cashless ecosystem and improvement in India's image in the international arena. They want freebies, caste reservation, religious reservation and free money in their bank accounts. India is very lucky that inspite of this immaturity displayed by its own citizens, a capable leader like Narendra modi again came to power in an historical win. This victory will be the turning point in the journey, that will take India from a developing nation towards a developed nation....

10 years of being in power and still got a mandate from the people to run the country. Hasn’t happened in India since the ‘60s when the country basically had a non-existent opposition. But somehow this is negative result for the prime minister, go figure..

I expected a much more mature statement from Rahul. Without an absolute majority for his alliance, He again speaks about Modi, amit shah, adani, ambani. He doesn't have any vision about the future of india or its people. Still after 10 years of rule, bjp made a 240 no on its own is a big win for them and the opposite alliance doesn't get an absolute majority after 10 years of bjp rule is actually questionable and its time for bjp to self introspect and to realise the fact that temple or religion doesnt satisfy the people in all spectrums of their life. Unemployment, inflation and foreign interference had played an mportant role in this election.
