I became a catechumen in the antiochian church on lazarus saturday last week!

Its a lebanese church with services in both languages.

Turns out my great grandfather was a lebanese immigrant. That means im part lebanese.... cant believe God led me to this church 🙏 beyond grateful

I also chose Antiochian because they almost always serve the Liturgy completely in English ❤️☦️

I'm in the process of learning about Orthodoxy here in my hometown of Orlando FL, and the closest Church to me is Antiochian. I've attended Liturgy 8 times already and feel it's so very refreshingly different from my birth denomination of Southern Baptist. I'm glad I found your channel. Bless you Brother.

I am Greek, but I don't consider myself as a " Greek Orthodox", I am just Orthodox.

Good video.

I’m Antiochian Orthodox, it’s the second most common form of Christianity in my home country of Lebanon.

Such a great video! I am a member of the Antiochian Archdioces. One of the biggest founders of our autocephalous Archdioces was St. Raphael of Brooklyn. Metropolitan Joseph and Metropolitan Philip are the spiritual successors to St. Raphael.

I believe every antimins in the Antiochian Archdioces has relics of St. Raphael sown into the back, so he is present with us in our liturgies.

I was catechized and chrismated into St. James Antiochian Orthodox Church in Modesto, Ca. I moved to SC and attend St. Catherine’s Antiochian Orthodox Church. I have loved all churches I’ve attended, specifically ROCOR, but we do not have a local ROCOR church.

My local perish is part of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch. Love the culture and people here! They’re so welcoming my first time attending and my priest is an absolute God-send in how he makes time to answer my questions.

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this video! Your channel’s still a little small right now but I truthfully loved watching this. I’m gonna watch a lot of your videos in the coming days to carry me through this pandemic lol. Keep making content, an Orthodox-curious Protestant like me has a lot to gain from your channel

This is what I am trying to explain to my Australian friends and fail miserably every time partially because of my limited English language literacy and in part because I am not as articulated as you are sir. Now instead of me talking I just share this video. Thank you for doing the heavy lifting.

Greetings my fellow Antiochian Orthodox brother in Christ. Many years ago when visiting family in Syria, we got to visit and have coffee with Ignatius IV. If you've never experienced any of their services in Syria, I hope and pray you do one day 🙏. They are so moving, I miss them so much. God bless you, brother. ❤️

I converted form protestantism to Orthodoxy (under the jurisdiction of GOARCH) a few years ago. I’m quite happy with my Church and my Arch Diocese but I have to admit it pains me to see the distance between us as the jurisdictions stand now in America. I pray we see this anomaly solved within my lifetime.

Great explication from one Antiochian Christian to another. I’d like to add another facet. As you said a lot has to do with geography so myself being Ukrainian and Belarusian this falls regionally to the Antiochian church which is celebrated in the Divine Liturgy. I chose to convert from the Roman Church to celebrate my culture as well as I believe in all aspects of the church. Another reason is the first time the word Christian was used was in Antioch. The Orthodox Church is the original church of the apostles Peter and Paul who founded the first Christian community in Antioch. The Roman Church is schismatic and formed in 1054 and despite having apostolic succession they are far from what they claim and does not have the fullness of the Antiochian Church. I hope this helps your followers and non Orthodox believers in a positive way I love your explication.

Love from Russian Orthodoxy - Antiochian Orthodox are warmly considered the "friendly, welcoming brothers" in Orthodoxy.

Hello! Just found your video and I'm also an Antiochian convert! (I'm also a pianist by profession so I have covers of some Orthodox music, working on doing more for music education and non-liturgical purposes.) I very much understand everything you said in your video and yes, simple questions often require long answers. I would recommend writing out your answers before filming, because although your answer is very conversational (like talking to someone at coffee hour) there are a lot of pauses and "um"s so just from a professional standpoint I would say that's a big way to improve. I hope you and your family are safe and healthy this year!
