In nearly every category, China's 003 carrier is much bigger or advanced or superior. No doubt the China 003 won it hands down.

Correction:
7 barrels 30mm type 730 close defense system has been retired from PLAN. Improved version of Type 1130 CIWS was spotted for the first time. This is one of highlights actually.

China has tested FC31 for 10 years, and its carrier version prototype was found obviously larger and printed with the number 35001, means its formal name will be J35, witch will enter inservice in 2 or 3 years and is designed for defeating F35. Considering the fleet, type 052D is already better than type 45, let along the type 055. The royal navy has only 6 type 45, but PLA has already 25 type 052D and others 5 under construction.

I can't understand why the British nave stuck with the old ski ramp as opposed to a catapult lunch system. The F35B is already hampered with the fan system for VTOL. Then they took up all that flight deck area with dual islands. The QE was already obsolete during it's construction what were they thinking?

The Fujian travels 10km/h more with the same range. That means it can travel at the same speed and have much greater range. It can launch AWACS which will spot the enemy carrier long before the pommies even detects the Fujian. The latter will launch DF missiles from shore or from HK6 bombers or drone swams from the Fujian and send the QE to the bottom. The PLAN CNS Fujian outclasses the QE in every way. F35 planes are useless if they can't launch or can't fly far enough. LOL.

The thing is even if the Chinese Fujian is surpassing the Queen Elizabeth carriers, you forget one thing.
The most important part of aircraft carriers usually relies on their planes, a Queen Elizabeth uses a array of F35B Lightning IIs which are much more capable than the current naval fighters China owns.
However while the Queen Elizabeth wins in terms of aircraft, China uses a CATOBAR system and can actually release their own early warning aircrafts.

Statistics usually only predict, its best when the carriers actually fight, not to mention you also need to consider their defensive fleets.

Such a horizontal comparison is meaningless. Because the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier was within 1, 000 nautical mile of the Chinese mainland during the war. It will be beaten into dregs by the DF-21D and a series of hypersonic anti-ship missiles.

Not a fair comparison. Kitty Hawk would be a proper match if it were still in service.

I think Elizabeth carrier wins this currently and here's my reasoning.

- Twin island design and ramp design makes it robust. Can operate around mechanical faults to the launch system and can operate even if a tower is struck.
- Familiarity with both ships being identical, this is hugely advantageous for crew training and simplifying procedures.
- More efficient design requires a much smaller crew to operate despite being similar in tonnage.
- Is actually in active service (Type 003 is in trials). Elizabeth class has already been on combat deployments, tested in high sea states, ironed out most of it's teething issues.
- British engineering is more established and experienced in designing Aircraft carriers. They literally invented them and continually innovate concepts in this field.
- Elizabeth Carrier has a superior airwing, even if they can't fully stack both ships with F35's yet. Type 003 would still be rocking with 4th gen fighters whilst it's 5th gen FC-31 is still a prototype
