On top of that, in Aperture Mode with Auto-ISO I’m always using Auto-ISO Min Shutter Speed. That way I’m also controlling how camera is adjusting SS and ISO. If there is not enough light camera is working within these steps:
1) Keep min ISO and lower the SS down to min SS
2) If 1) is not enough keep min SS and start rising ISO up to max ISO
3) If 2) is not enough keep max ISO and start decrease SS.

It is so useful…

Camera meters can be fooled in shutter and aperture priority depending on the subject and/or the background.

Just juse auto iso in M, than you can choose shutter and aperture yourself. ± correction on the iso works than too.

Refreshing to hear someone admitting that basically he is taking pictures in auto. Most people won't

I'll shoot in manual with auto iso on sometimes and sometimes off depending on how lazy I am.

Most photographers on YT suggest to use A, I thought about it a lot, and tried but I don't get it, especially for portraits. I set the minimum shutter speed for a person moving slowly (1/125), auto ISO, and the aperture for the bokeh I'm going for in that location, then I crank up the shutter speed, if needed, so the ISO stay the lowest possible. If i let the camera do this it could use a faster shutter speed than needed and give me noisier images. If you're shooting faster action, set the minimum ss you want for the subject, use auto iso and control the aperture, and also program a button for when a very fast subject may appear and you need to react to get the shot, no matter the noise (1/2000, minimum aperture, auto iso). I honestly don't see a case when A and S are better than manual, but I do get maybe you guys want ppl to not feel intimidated...?

What's the Camara and Lens used in this video bro?

Why can't we have an aperture priority mode with a capped shutter speed ??

F1.4 is very shallow, unless you really need that artistic effect that will focus on one eye only and make the rest blurry, I prefer shooting at F4 for more overall face detail

Isn't 1.4 with what lens? If one eye is out of focus, is that ok?

You absolutly overworking it. Go manual let the Aperture decide the bokeh and adjust the shutterspeed when needed, wich for most shooting isn’t very often.
You saving a ton of time and can focus more on the shooting

If you're using auto iso, and you're always going to shoot wide open, why not actually be in control of the shutter speed? Exposure compensation is compensating for you not doing anything while you could easily adjust it as you shoot. I'd rather do that than hope the camera is on the same page as me, either way you will have to fix the exposure. Will have to give your way a try though. Cheers

Seeing the technology nowadays, looks like I really need a new camera body 😂

this cracks me up - people you do realize using exposure comp with an Auto- ISO setting is just adjusting your ISO! - so just as well shoot manual and change the ISO as you need to - paying attention to your histogram will tell you if you need to add or lower the ISO. - Your making things harder than they need to be.

So basically you don’t make any decisions and let the camera do all the work. Just get an iPhone !! 😂
