I would say that a majority of my rounds I am close to breaking 90 and do it on a semi regular base. In this video I share some tips that I consider are helpful in breaking bogey golf. I also go over my mentality during a round. What are your tips to breaking 90?

Nice recovery on the back nine. One thing that helps me with the chip and runs is focusing on the landing spot. If I look at the pin I almost always go long. Visualize the runout in your mind, then once over the ball look only at your selected landing spot. Love the content and your on course upbeat attitude.

For a course management tip I like to give to my playing partners is to not have an ego when it comes to club selection cause this one guy I played with was trying to hit a p wedge from 150 and left it 30 yards short. So just make the right club selection.

My father-in-law gave me a great life tip that I take into my rounds of golf. "Know thy self and compensate." If i am stuck behind a tree or think that I can get on the green in two on a par 5 I take this into consideration. I try not to look for that sliver behind the tree to make it to the green or try and power a 3 wood to go 250 when I know my max distance is 230 (and that is if I strike it great, which I do not have in my arsenal). I will punch my shot out from the tree or hit a club that I am more consistent with for my second shot to put myself within a 100 yards. That is my tip.

One key course management tip in golf is to focus on your strengths and play to them. Identify your strong suits, whether it's driving accuracy, iron play, or putting, and build your strategy around those strengths. This can help you avoid risky shots that may lead to trouble and make more confident decisions on the course.

One other tip that I got from Matt Soza, shout out to Golf Garage. Break the round into 6 groups of three holes. I feel like when I do that I give myself a reset after three holes. I try not to focus so much on the score after that.

I think you kind of hit on my biggest tip, but know your dispersion with each club and how to pick a proper target. I've never actually used the service, but the DECADE golf philosophy is extremely helpful. IMO this makes it easier to deal with the bad shots and accept that they are just part of the game.

Three things I noticed — 1. I get the bump and run strategy here and there but at some point I think a wedge with some spin might be the better play for you. 2. Unless I’m mistaken I’ve never seen you wear those shoes before — maybe they changed your height and affected your angle of attack, causing you to blade more shots than usual. 3. I think the angle/length of your putter is off, maybe consider getting fitted? Then again maybe your shoes affected that as well. Anyways great video!

1. I enter my score after each hole but I don't track where I am relative to par for the round. Fretting or tracking where I'm at during a round is just another distraction that doesn't add to my chances for success.
2. This is maybe the hardest thing for me and I've only made it through a few rounds recently putting it into practice for the majority of my shots, but consistently focusing on the shot I have with all my concentration once I step to the ball has been key to my best rounds. I am usually having a pretty good time joking around on the course, so I actually forget to focus at times and just take lazy swings while I'm talking, etc.
3. It's supposed to be fun. If you are playing poorly, find the fun in that round. It's there. You may have to look harder for it sometimes, but it's always there just waiting for you to notice that... Hey!?! This is fun!!!

I did the opposite the other day started strong but finished with 3 triples to shoot 90. Even had 2 birdies on the day. Ouch.

Almost broke 90 at ST. I just dislike how expensive it is for what it is

1. Play your average club yardage and know your dispersion. Find a buddy who has a sim or go to one of those new age indoor ranges. The golf range has shitty balls that limits distance.

2. Play up a tee box and focus on having a wedge or low iron for your approach. Gives you better confidence and improve your short game.

Ah yes, the legendary jackpot start… 7’s aren’t lucky in golf though…

Best course management tip I’ve received, buy your friend’s old drivers

Most of your misses are flared to the right. Looks a bit blocked on the downswing. Lets play together soon.
